Hi, my name is Christy. I’m 48 years old. I’m a single mom to a wonderful amazing 20 year old young woman. She is currently in college living at home with me. Unfortunately, my story started 3 weeks ago. I have always dealt with migraines. About 3 weeks ago, I started to feel like something was wrong. I could barely stand, I was always off balance, slow and just not moving around like I normally would. I woke up on Saturday, April 4 and couldn’t even get out of bed. I went to the emergency room. They rushed me into a room and it all started from there. 3 MRI’s, 3 CT Scans, Ultrasounds, 2 Lumbar Punctures in my spine, a blood patch, extensive bloodwork over and over again. EKG’s over and over again. Thank god everything was coming back negative. No stroke, no heart attack, no tumors. The only finding they found was fluid behind my eyes in my brain. That is why they did the lumbar puncture. To rule out more serious underlining issues. After the second lumbar puncture was done, it caused the most unbearable pressure in my head. I couldn’t stand up or sit up without the pressure in my head. I was on bed rest for 5 days. Fast forward to today, Sunday April 12, 2026. Pain Management came into my room to check on me. I was informed that I wouldn’t be able to return to work for at least 3-4 weeks. I haven’t worked the last 2 weeks. The first week I was off balanced and not feeling right and this last week I’ve been in the hospital. Unfortunately, back in December before Christmas I was layed off from my full time job. Fortunately, I had been doing Shipt which is shopping and delivering of groceries. So I jumped into that full time to be able to make ends meet. But now I won’t be able to return to that because of the procedures I had. I will have very limited lifting and bending for a while. I have always been very independent and always found a way to make ends meet and pay my bills on my own. I have never asked for this kind of help. I have always been the one to help others out. I’m now asking for any kind of help. Any amount would be a blessing. Your donations would go to my medical bills and my living expenses until I’m able to get back on my feet. Again, I truly appreciate your time in reading this. May god bless you!
