Support Christy in Overcoming Abuse and Eviction

Story

Hello, My name is Christy. I am raising money for myself and my daughter who are just days from being homeless. I am a single mother who is just days from being evicted from my home. My husband was financially, emotionally, mentally, and physically abusive. Financially, I have always had to hold everything together. His constant addictions always took precedence. Because of this, I kicked him out after 3 years. I have carried the weight of all of the bills, but it has become too much of a burden to bear on my own. Unfortunately, in addition to the financial strain, I have been diagnosed with an umbilical hernia brought on by being punched in the stomach by him. It was not concerning to the doctors at first, but in recent weeks, it has gotten much worse. Taking time off of work has not been an option, which has aggravated everything health-wise. I am paying out of pocket for visits to keep things at bay, but this is also contributing to the financial burden. Any donations sent will initially go towards preventing eviction and prepay to provide a cushion that will help prevent this in the future. I am working with my job to obtain more hours as well. I have done my best to shield my child from the worst; however, it is becoming increasingly difficult as the days come closer. If my goals are not met, it will be devastating to explain the move with no place to go. This is not easy to share, and asking for help is even harder. I am at the point where there is no other option. If you were able to donate, share, or simply send a message of support, it would be immensely appreciated more than you will ever know. Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day.
