"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." - 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
As friends of Christy Chang, we want to support her in any way we can as she cares for her mom, Youa Chang, who is currently in hopsice.
We've watched as Christy has given everything to helping her mom, staying by her side, loving her, and putting all of her energy into making sure her mom is comfortable and well-taken care of.
In this time of grief, as she spends her final moments with her mom, we want to come together to raise the funds Christy needs for her mother's funeral. The funds raised will help cover any expenses her and her family will need, so they can focus on mourning and celebrating the beautiful life Youa has lived.
Youa has lived a life filled with joy and love. She loved talking to us and showing us how much she loved her daughter. Her love for Christy was overflowing, and her energetic personality and beautiful smile have been a source of joy for not just Christy, but us as well. We know that she is so proud of Christy, just as we are. She loved spending time with Christy, sewing Hmong clothing, and looking through photo albums, showing off Christy's childhood photos to us, beaming with pride at her beautiful daughter.
"He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap, to make them sit with princes, with the princes of his people. He gives the barren woman a home, making her the joyous mother of children. Praise the Lord!" - Psalm 113:7-9
Please consider donating, sharing, and keeping Christy and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
"...'He (God) will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.'" - Revelation 21:3-4
