Support Christopher's Urgent Relocation for Care

Hi everyone, my name is John Fischer and my daughter Grace and her sweet family are in desperate need to relocate to Colorado where their 21-month-old son Christopher can receive therapy to help him gain some much-needed capabilities such as walking. Time is of the essence as Christopher has a catastrophic genetic disorder that is causing him to regress. The sooner they can move there and establish residency in Colorado, the sooner Christopher can begin to benefit from this intensive therapy.

"As some of you may know, we found out some tough news in regards to our youngest little boy, Christopher (CJ). We have been working with different therapists and doctors since CJ was about 6 months old trying to determine a cause for some of the delays our little man has. CJ is almost 2 years old now, and after waiting months for his genetic testing results, we finally received them on 06/05/2024. Christopher has an extremely rare genetic condition called CTBP1. There have been less than 20 people ever documented in medicine having this disease. It is a neuromuscular disease that causes hypotonia, ataxia, developmental delay, and other debilitating symptoms. We have been so blessed that so far, our sweet boy is thriving with the therapies he is currently in, but he needs more! The faster our son starts the more intensive therapy, the better! We have been able to find an amazing intensive therapy program with the NAPA Center in Denver, and we will be relocating our family from Dallas to Denver as quickly as possible to start getting CJ the best therapy. With limited research due to this being so extremely rare, there are so many unknowns, but I do know God has his arms around our sweet boy at all times, and that we will continue to pray and do everything in our power to get our boy the best help. With that being said, we need as much help as possible to make this happen for our son. The sooner we have a Colorado address, the sooner we can start therapy! We are asking for anything you can help our family with, even just a prayer or a kind word will help get us one step closer to getting the care our sweet little guy needs!"

Grace and her husband Blake are dedicated and hard working parents and are deeply hopeful this can bring the needed resources to pick up and quickly move to Colorado. They have done a tremendous amount of research on how best to help Christopher and They as well as myself believe this relocation is in fact his very best chance. I am very thankful for the network of friends and colleagues I have that I hope can help save this young man's life and give him the best possible chance for success as new research reveals possible longer-term treatment for Christopher. Tests have revealed his brain is not the problem. He is incredibly curious and sweet as a baby comes. But physically he is not able to thrive. Whether you can contribute a dollar or whatever amount you are comfortable with, or just a mountain of prayers for the entire family, we will appreciate it all.
