Support Christopher's Urgent Heart Surgery and Family.

My son, Christopher Coffinas, began his hospital journey on June 18, 2024. On June 28th, he underwent open-heart surgery to replace a damaged aortic valve. The following month, he had trouble breathing because of fluid build-up in his lungs and was back in the hospital again. After doing multiple tests, it was determined through a TEE test that the aortic valve installed was leaking and the tissue had partially separated. He must now undergo another major open heart surgery to repair the faulty valve. Unfortunately, this is a highly specialized operation that only a few hospitals are capable of undertaking. The Cardiovascular Surgical Team at Shand's Hospital has accepted my son and is willing to undertake this serious operation.

We, as a family, have not been able to work a regular schedule for the last 3 months due to his hospitization and care taking. As we all know life doesn't get put on pause when tragic events happen. This surgery at Shand's Hospital in Gainesville is a Miracle and Blessing for Christopher's life. The Lord has brought Chris on this long journey of life which we are so grateful for.
