Hi everyone, and thank you for taking a moment to consider me.

I'm 19 years disabled, and 13 years in a wheelchair. This from a freak work accident as an interior designer that ended my life as I knew it, and threw me into two decades of survival mode. I did not win my workers comp case and lost everything.

I am 100% on my own, and living full time out of my wheelchair van due to fixed income social security. I spend most of my time in nature, as it's truly the safest place for a vulnerable disabled person in todays society. Factually though a lot of my time is in isolation.

I need a powerchair as my shoulders have failed. Insurance has proven an impossible mountain to summit, and my needs are growing more desperate. After a year of no progress I am turning to crowdfunding to obtain my needed mobility assistive device.

Biggest reason is that even if insurance was working, they won't approve a chair that meets my nature bound offroading needs. As I spend all non errands time in wild nature mostly alone. A standard two wheel driven powerchair will simply get stuck over and over again. I've witnessed it, and done it in testing.. Add in that they weigh over 300lbs and Im usually alone. Those styles are not a functionable solution.

The goal chair is a MobilityOutdoors.com Huntsman 4x4 chair with the elevate/tilt/recliner seat base. The cost of about $21k, plus tax/freight/ and any accessories needed(pressure relieving seat cushion/chair cover for putside storage/etc)from the manufacturer on the east coast to Arizona where I'm at. This price is actually less than a standard onroad only powerchair with comparable seat features.

All donations are exclusively to be used for this powerchair and it's ancilliaries. I have no problem with reasonable compromises in the form of potential used versions if they can meet my needs when financially viable. But those can come with further repair risks. If this is successful, and said used option presents itself. I will move that direction, updating and ending this specific fundraising.

Fact is up to this point all medical equipment has been paid out of my own pocket. But after 19 years my resources are gone, and fixed income + insurance companies denying everything has taken me beyond my abilities to meet my survival mobility needs.
