Christopher just turned 4 and over the summer was diagnosed with stage 1 Hydronephrosis in right kidney and borderline stage 3 in his left kidney. Hydronephrosis is a condition that occurs when urine builds up in the kidney, causing it to swell and stretch. Further tests are pending and possible surgeries could be in his near future. In addition he was also diagnosed with anemia and chronic constipation which unfortunately puts his hydro diagnosis further at risk to progress.
Since his diagnosis he’s been in and out of our pediatrician office and ER due to high fevers and infections related to his condition. Christopher having the hydro and with the dangerously high fevers heading to local hospital not an option because they unfortunately don’t have the proper tools to treat him so we have to go straight to Laurie’s downtown chicago.
Between CT scans X-rays and past hospitalizations our private insurance only goes so far and we are seeking out help to alleviate the cost of medical expenses. We appreciate any help we can get to help our family get through these unforeseen costs but most importantly being able to cover all cost so our son can receive the care he requires in order to restore his health. If you are unable to donate sharing his link is more we can even ask for.
