New update11/27 we have had ECMO off for 36 hours. If this holds through th night we will pull ECMO which will be a great thing. We will get to wake him up a bit more and get a gauge on where he is mentally. His brain is working. He is over breathing the vent which is awesome and also is more proof there is brain activity. Keep the prayers coming. We have mountains to climb still but God is clearing the way

New update today. The pneumonia is worse he will have to have another bronch today to try and clear lungs some more. He is running a fever. They have had to go back up on the ECMO machine again but vascular is also working on his leg wounds so he does not like that. I just want my baby off this ventilator.

Update we have now found out that he does have a brain injury we just won’t know how much until he recovers more. He will get a feeding tube tomorrow so we can hopefully change up some medications and wean off some of the sedation. So keep the prayers coming. We need them.

Christopher is my son. He is just 33 years old. He had a tragic accident happen with a gun and ended up being shot in the back of his knee. He was rushed to the hospital and they found out that he blew all of the vessels in his right leg, so they had to bypass a vein out of his left leg in place it in his right leg to establish blood flow. Unfortunately, while at the hospital, he had to have a CT scan and during the CT scan he coded and they had to begin CPR and they had to intubate him when that caused him to throw up and of course he was on his back so all of that vomit he aspirated on, and it went to his lungs, this put him in critical condition. He is on a ventilator and a ECMO machine. Chris is a sole provider for his family. He has a wife with multiple sclerosis and three children so I know they would appreciate any help that they could get because this will be a long journey for him even if you can’t we will take all of the prayers we could possibly get.
