Help Christopher Recover from a Sudden Brain Aneurysm
Hi, my name is Danielle Brown, and I’m fundraising on behalf of my cousin, Christopher Dickinson, who is currently fighting for his life in Seattle after suffering a sudden brain aneurysm.
On Sunday morning, Christopher was rushed to Trios Hospital in Kennewick, WA, where he was immediately sedated due to the severity of his condition. That evening, he was life-flighted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for the urgent, specialized care only they could provide.
On Monday, there were early signs of hope—Christopher briefly opened his eyes and squeezed the doctor’s hand. Doctors have since placed a PICC line to help administer medications, and they’re closely monitoring his condition.
We’ve learned that one of the veins in his brain clotted, which actually stopped the bleeding. The other vein remains stable, and a follow-up procedure is scheduled for Wednesday to reassess both. They are also beginning to slowly reduce sedation to evaluate for any lasting brain damage. Surgery may or may not be necessary—we’re waiting and praying.
Christopher is only 43 years old—still a “young buck” with so much life ahead of him. We are hopeful, but the road to recovery will be long, uncertain, and expensive.
Why We Need Help
As many know, emergency Life Flights are not fully covered by insurance, and the medical bills for critical care, extended hospital stays, rehab, and ongoing treatment are already stacking up. The cost is overwhelming.
I’ve been granted full access to Christopher’s banking to ensure that every dollar raised goes directly toward his care and recovery. If you’d prefer to give another way (Venmo, Zelle, etc.), please feel free to contact me directly.
