Support Christopher's 8-Week Recovery Journey

Christopher is out of surgery and recovery. Surgeon gave him a nerve blocker to help easy the pain. He will be VERY sore for the next couple of days. Surgery was successful and he's being discharged and headed home.

I'm Pam Entwisle, Christopher Galliher is my nephew. He is my sister, Charlotte Entwisle-Payne's son.

I'm starting this GoFundMe to try to help Christopher out for the next 8 weeks.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, May 27th, Christopher is scheduled for a complicated surgery at Mt. Vernon Hospital.

He has been diagnosed with a double hernia-umbilical and groin. Doctor has given him a 6-8 week recovery time. Due to the location of the hernia's, and the fact that his job duties include heavy lifting, the 8 week recovery time is more probable.

Short term disability has denied his claim, saying that the hernia's were pre-existing to him obtaining coverage during the open enrollment period.

He was unaware that he did not have short term disability at work. After he found out about the hernia's he went to enroll during open enrollment and they said since it was a pre-existing condition he would not be covered.

After some ups and downs in the past, Christopher finally has his life straightened out. He has a beautiful, caring girlfriend Alisha, who also has children that look up to him as a Dad.

During this recovery time, he will not be receiving any income to pay monthly bills. I'm setting up this fundraiser to help keep him on track paying monthly bills, copays and food.

Not having any income coming in will put him behind and he'll face disconnections and possibly eviction.
