Two years ago, I was diagnosed with CHF (Congestive Heart Failure) and as of this weekend, diabetes. The physical and emotional downturn has been significant. Although I have an okay job, we recently went through layoffs and my hours were reduced. I will not ask for enough to cover medical debts, that's too much. I am hoping for enough to cover issues that will make things easier. A car on the fritz with a loan debt, behind on rent, health insurance I need to establish, and possible boarding for my dog. I think $5,000 can make this doable, maybe $7,000.
