On Saturday May 10th my wife's father and my Father-in-Law, Christopher Lang, was in a severe bicycling accident in West Marin County, CA. While traveling at a rapid rate of speed going downhill, an oncoming truck lost a bale of hay directly in front of Christopher. With no time to react he collided with the bale resulting in a severe crash. He was taken by ambulance to Marin Health (Marin General) where it was discovered that he fractured his spine, bruised his ribs and suffered multiple other scrapes, lacerations, and contusions. Christopher will be unable to return to work landscaping for the foreseeable future. Additionally, he will be unable to perform basic household tasks including tending to his wood stove, which is his primary source of heat. We are seeking help with the payment of utilities as he will be exclusively using the furnace and much more electricity than normal (while being out of work). Additionally, it will be necessary to arrange for meal deliveries as he will be unable to cook for himself. We don't know yet what he will be facing with medical bills yet but I'm sure it's not going to be a small amount.
We understand that these are difficult times for all of us but it is in these difficult times that we all need to come together to help each other when we are in need.
Thank you in advance for anything you can spare.
With gratitude and deep appreciation,
Jay & Cassidy, and the whole Lang Family
