Support Christi's Battle Against Cervical Cancer

We are starting this fundraiser for our beloved friend, Christi (Genovese) Parker. Christi usually spends her time at home with her husband, Mike and their much loved dog, Hazel where they enjoy walks in the woods together or just relaxing after a long day. Christi loves spending time with family and friends relaxing at a campground or meeting up for a meal. She loves cheering on her two favorite sports teams, the Packers and the Red Wings and she also participated with the Marquette Women's Pool League for many years.

Christi has been working processing medical records for the past several years starting out at the local hospital. She then transferred to work from home for other big name hospitals including Mayo Clinic and Tenet Health. Most recently she joined a Global Fulfillment Team where she had the opportunity to work with people from all around the world.

Christi has always been known for being kind and generous with a specific soft spot for animals. She loves her fur babies with all of her heart and would add numerous more to their home if she was able to.

A few months ago Christi began experiencing abdominal pain and began to feel weak, tired, and winded. After going into the ER, they realized there was something serious going on where she was losing blood internally. She had to have a blood transfusion and was flown to St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. After multiple tests and biopsies, Christi at the young age of only 40 years old, was diagnosed with the devastating news that she has Stage 4 Cervical Cancer which also spread to part of her bladder. The tumor was pushing on her kidney, causing it to shut down and leading to multiple other complications. Due to the severity of the illness that she is faced with, her team of specialists and doctors are working at St Vincent on an aggressive treatment plan. Christi will be unable to work for an unknown amount of time. Mike will only be working intermittently as he helps her with his unwavering support, attending her treatments, many of which will be taking place out of town.

We are asking for help in supporting our lovely young friend during this time of need. We hope to decrease the financial burden of being unable to work, medical treatments, travel, hotel costs, and normal bills so that Christi and Mike can focus on staying strong, both emotionally and physically during this difficult time.
