Hello Friends, Family, and Community,

I am thrilled to share that I have been accepted into Candidacy, the first stage of formation with the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles (https://carmelitesistersocd.com/). I was introduced to the Carmelite Sisters in December 2024 and since getting to know this community, I have been experiencing God draw me closer to Him in a profound way, through peace and an exponential increase in desire for holiness that I never thought was possible. He has been inviting me to take a step towards giving my life totally to Him, and I am joyfully giving my YES!

This August, I will be entering Candidacy followed by Postulancy and the Novitiate (God-willing!), the initial stages of becoming a religious sister. During these first few years, I will be fully immersed in prayer, community life, and ministry. Because I will not be working to support myself in a traditional sense, I will need to raise funds to cover daily living expenses throughout this time. Your support will go directly towards things like health insurance premiums, books, clothing, bedding, shoes, etc. My goal is to raise at least $10,000 to cover these costs for the first few years, allowing me to focus completely on discerning God’s will.
