We are raising funds for our friend and colleague, Christine Rabinak.

Christine is a Professor at Wayne State University, a mother of two, an avid lover of horses and a breast-cancer survivor. Just when she thought she had finally beat cancer and was getting her life back (after years of suffering and fighting), an unrelated health scan revealed cancerous lesions on her liver suggesting the cancer had spread and is now considered terminal.

Many of her current treatments are not fully covered by the insurance and the cost is adding up quickly. For example. her first round of treatment, (Lynparza), cost over $8,000 for just a 15-day supply, and she needed it for a year.

The funds raised will help her put food on the table for her two young kids when her energy levels are too low to cook. Further, the money will cover the cost for some of her medications and help her enjoy her remaining time with dignity and less pain and worries.
