Hello, everyone.

My name is Christine Xiong. I graduated from San Francisco State University with my Master’s in English TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) as a first-generation college student.

I’ll be making my big move to South Korea to teach English in the Fall of 2025 through the EPIK Program. This is my first time living in a foreign country without any family members or anyone I know.

Living in SF and working part time, it was hard for me to save up money for the move. This fundraising will help me survive the first two months abroad as it will cover food/grocery, phone bills, utility bills, public transportation, visa fees, basic household items (toiletries, cleaning supplies and essential needs for my new apartment), and emergency funds.

This means a lot to me because this is a career I postponed for seventeen years, and now I finally can pursue it. Even if it’s only $20, it will still help me in the long run. If you cannot donate, please share this fundraising.
