Support for Christina’s Family and Funeral Service

Dear family, friends, and supporters,

I am creating this GoFundMe Campaign on behalf of my amazing sister, Christina, to ask for your financial support in her fight with Pancreatic Cancer. My name is Sera Passalaqua; thank you for visiting our fundraiser page. Christina Passalaqua is 49 years old; she is a devoted wife, wonderful mother, loving sister, beloved daughter, adored niece, favorite cousin, loyal friend, animal lover, kind soul, courageous fighter, and so much more to so many. She is married to Luis Llamas and her children are Sam (18), Sonny (14), and Ellie (8). Her journey with cancer started in 2019 when she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and received treatment in California. Shortly after completing treatment, she pursued her dream of moving her family to Durango, Colorado, in May 2021. Christina and her family fell in love with Durango, and Durango fell in love with them. Unfortunately, this was not the end of her journey with cancer. In February 2022, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer and began treatment at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Christina is a brave and inspiring warrior who has undergone eleven rounds of chemotherapy and five rounds of intensive radiation therapy so far. As you can imagine, this has been extremely difficult in so many ways for her family, friends, and children; we are grateful for all the love and encouragement we have received from everyone. In addition to the conventional treatment she is receiving, we are exploring other care options to help her thrive and be as comfortable as possible.

The financial burden for Christina's care has been overwhelming for her family, and my goal is to help lighten this load and ensure she has access to as many resources as possible. I believe this goal can be achieved with your help. Please consider a donation in a meaningful and manageable amount to assist Christina and her family during this time. 

Your commitment to any amount will help her afford the life extending care she is receiving at MD Anderson in Houston and enable her to explore other care opportunities, that she would not otherwise be able to. Every gift counts, no matter the amount.  My hope is to extend our reach by utilizing the power of connection and community.
