Support Christina’s fight against cancer
My name is Nicole and as many of you may know, my sister Christina was diagnosed with
Hodgkin's Lymphoma back in April.
After a rough day at work, learning that her position had been furloughed due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, Christina headed home to rest and try to figure out what to do next. After a short nap, she woke to find a large lump had appeared on the right side of her neck. At first, we thought maybe it was a pulled muscle or something due to all the stress of the recent news. However, after speaking to a nurse, they insisted she go to the ER immediately to get checked out. And just like that, her life changed. She was scheduled for tests and a biopsy and within a week was diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
She started her first round of chemotherapy on May 7 and will continue several rounds over the next few months. During this time, she is unable to work and has come into a financial hardship. As we live together in Stillwater, I try to help as much as I can but with rent, a car payment, and supporting her amazing son Myles as a single parent, she could use any extra support she could get right now.
She is an amazing mother to Myles, a great friend, daughter, and sister and she is fighting this battle. I want nothing more than for her to focus on her health and raising that amazing boy during this difficult time. Anything you can donate to help ease the financial burden on her during this time is immensely appreciated.
My sister is my best friend and I see her fighting every day. She tries to push through the pain and aches as long as she can each night so that she is able to spend as much time with Myles as she can without missing any special moments. She is a fighter and she will get through this.
