UPDATE: MONEY NEEDS TO BE RAISED BY 27TH OF AUGUST

My name is Christina and I am starting this GoFundMe in hopes of raising money for a trip to China. Back in 2024 when I was a sophomore I started my college research. After looking at my different options in the U.S. and abroad I decided that I want to study in China because of the different opportunities and experiences available there.

I am now about to enter my senior year of high school and want to experience life in China before attending college. I was able to find a study abroad program for two weeks that will assist me in making connections and having support while visiting China. The cost for the program is high which is the reason for me setting up this GoFundMe. The fees paid will make traveling to China easier and can help put the mind of my parents and I at ease.

Not many students at my school are going abroad for college but I want to follow my own path. I have been inspired by my parents and grandparents who immigrated to America from Jamaica and Guyana and want to try making a life for myself in China. By funding me you will help me accomplish my goal of studying science in college and being independent in a new country. Thank you!
