Support Christina through her breast cancer battle

Our dear friend Christina Student-Joy was just diagnosed with breast cancer. We all know her as a ball of energy and love who selflessly puts others before herself and always has a bright smile on her face.

Christina works at an art gallery and lives on a sailboat with her two teenage boys in Key West. Finances have already been tight and the added cost of dealing with a life-threatening disease is creating a lot of additional stress. She has basic healthcare via the Affordable Care Act with a $9,500 out-of-pocket max. There isn't a treatment center in the Florida Keys, so she's having to travel to Boca Raton (4 hours away) to go to a clinic there. Her first treatment was $1,500 out of pocket. Her boys are still in school so she has also been trying to figure out care for them while she travels back and forth for treatment.

If you can donate anything at this time, it would be greatly appreciated to provide her with the financial support while she’s going through treatment. The funds will be used to help Christina pay for her out-of-pocket medical expenses and maintain safe & reliable transportation between the Keys and Boca, as well as to help care for her family.
