Our beloved mother, Christina Marin, was diagnosed last year with stage 3 breast cancer at just 42 years old. This life-altering diagnosis has shaken our family, but Christina remains the same resilient, compassionate woman she’s always been—a loving wife of 23 years, a devoted mother of two, and a dedicated military spouse to a disabled veteran.

In the midst of this battle, Christina continues to inspire us with her strength. She is a full-time psychology student, funding her education on her own, while also working as a nursing assistant in the inpatient mental health unit at our local Veterans hospital. Even while facing her own medical crisis, her heart is still with others—she’s the kind of person who shows up for everyone else, even when she’s hurting.

Now, Christina needs us to show up for her.

Cancer treatment is physically, emotionally, and financially draining. With mounting medical bills, treatment costs, and daily living expenses piling up, our family is struggling to keep up—especially on a fixed income. And due to unexpected complications during treatment, Christina is now unable to return to work for at least another six weeks or more, further straining our finances and making it even harder to make ends meet.
