Christina, my wife, has been bravely fighting glioblastoma brain cancer since August of 2025. Thanks to good health care, she has received surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation, and has shown incredible strength through it all. Recently, Christina faced additional challenges with seizures and a stroke, which required her to spend time in skilled nursing as she worked to regain her strength.

Now, we are preparing to bring Christina home so she can continue her care surrounded by loved ones. What many people may not realize is that the cost of home care and caregiving is not covered by our health insurance, nor is it supported by the state of Oregon unless you meet very specific criteria.
