Support Christina Capara: My Sister's Fight Against Cancer

Hi, I’m Candy Cajigas, and I am starting this fundraiser in Sydney, Australia, for my sister, Christina Capara (Joy), who lives in the Philippines. Christina is a loving mum to six incredible children. At 49 years old, Christina has been diagnosed with (Squamous Cell Carcinoma Non Keratinising large cell type) aggressive stage 3 cervical cancer, a battle she did not choose but is determined to fight with every ounce of her strength.

Christina’s treatment plan is intensive and requires significant medical resources: 25 radiation sessions, 5 rounds of chemotherapy with 4 brachy, and a subsequent 6 months of oral therapy.

As her sister, it breaks my heart to see her go through this, and I’m determined to help her as much as I can. Christina is doing her best to stay strong, despite the fear and uncertainty, but Christina's spirit shine brightly. She finds peace through her faith and love from our family, however the medical costs are quickly becoming overwhelming, making it difficult to keep up with the rising costs for her care.

This fundraiser aims to provide Christina with the financial relief she needs to continue her treatments without the added stress of financial hardship. We are reaching out to you, friends, family, and compassionate souls around the world, to support Christina in her time of need. Your contributions will help cover her medical bills and ensure she receives the necessary treatments.

Update on Christina’s Treatment 14/2/25

Great news! We have successfully secured all four bags of blood needed for Christina’s transfusion, and she is now ready for admission. This means she can proceed with her scheduled chemotherapy and IMRT on Monday. We are incredibly grateful for the swift support and generosity that made this possible. As we continue to navigate through this challenging time, we kindly ask for your continued prayers for Christina’s strength and recovery. Thank you all for your immense support and compassion
