Hello, friends, family, and supporters!
I’m beyond excited and honored to announce that I have been selected to represent the United States at the PCC/Mini Rifle World Shoot 2025 on the Mini Rifle Open Ladies Team in the Czech Republic in May!
I started competitive shooting as a travel emergency room nurse in Iowa 10 years ago. I traveled around the country competing locally, then to area level matches, then to nationals and after years of competing at nationals I was selected for the US National Ladies Team for Mini Rifle Open Division. This is the first World Shoot for this division but typically this event is held every 3 years. This is our Olympics! Countries and individuals will be competing for Gold, Silver and Bronze. This is not standing and shooting, this is IPSC, International Practical Shooting Confederation, run and gun! This sport involves precision and accuracy as well as speed in shooting and movement.
I am currently a self-employed concierge IV nurse. Although I have some amazing sponsors, I am not paid to shoot. Being selected for this event means I need to be fully prepared to compete at the highest level—and the expenses are catching up to me fast. Specifically, I’m transitioning to a new division (Ladies Mini Rifle from PCC), and this requires new equipment, gear, and ammunition, which has added significant costs. I’ve been investing in additional time and training to ensure I’m ready to give my best performance. This is a huge milestone in my shooting career, and I’m thrilled to have the chance to compete on the world stage. However, with all the expenses and the upcoming time away from work I am meeting some financial challenges. As a result, I’m reaching out for your support.
The funds raised through this campaign will help cover:
• Travel costs (flights to the Czech Republic, transportation, travel for training & matches $4,000)
• Accommodation (hotel stay for the duration of the event and for training $2000)
• Entry fees (for the World Shoot, $675)
• New equipment (upgrades and gear specific to the Mini Rifle division, barrel, bolt, optics, magazines, and other parts $3,150)
• Training expenses (range fees $50 per 4-hour training session at my home range and 3 hours of driving, physical training & classes $1900)
• Freedom seeds ($2000 and counting)
• Miscellaneous (food, jerseys, etc.)
• Media
• Missed wages (during travel and training)
This opportunity means the world to me, and your support will make a huge difference in helping me compete at my best and not returning home in financial debt. Whether you can contribute financially or share this campaign with others, I truly appreciate any and all support.
Thank you for being part of this journey and helping me represent the US National Team at the PCC/Mini Rifle World Shoot 2025! Going for GOLD!
God Bless,
Christina Baker
