Hi everyone, This is not easy for me to write, but I’m reaching out because I’m facing something I never expected, and I could really use help right now. Over the past several weeks, I began experiencing severe back and leg pain that rapidly worsened. What started as discomfort turned into nerve compression that affected my ability to walk, stand, and even bear weight on my leg. After multiple ER visits, imaging confirmed that I have multiple herniated discs, with significant nerve compression. I am now scheduled for urgent neurosurgery to prevent permanent nerve damage. Because of this, I’ve been forced to step away from work unexpectedly. I work as a server and key associate at Outback Steakhouse — a physically demanding job that requires standing, lifting, and constant movement. Unfortunately, with my current condition and the recovery time required after surgery, I won’t be able to work for a few months. While I focus on healing, I’m facing immediate financial stress. Rent, utilities, groceries, and basic living expenses don’t stop just because a medical emergency happens. I’ve explored assistance programs, but many resources are unavailable or limited, and I’m currently in a gap period without income support. This fundraiser is to help cover rent and utilities, groceries and daily necessities, transportation and basic recovery needs, and financial stability while I heal and regain strength.
