Christian is an incredible young athlete who I've had the privilege of coaching in football for the past few years. Recently, he suffered a serious concussion during a game, and the impact has been life-changing. Christian has been hospitalized for several days, and his recovery has been challenging to say the least.. he experienced severe memory loss, at one point unable to remember his own name, his parents, his teammates, or even the fact that he played football or had siblings. While he is slowly beginning to recall some things, progress is gradual, and he remains in a neck brace while undergoing further evaluation. Christian is known for his infectious energy, his dedication to his team, and his selfless nature. He's not only a standout football player but also a great student and a loyal friend to everyone he meets. As the ultimate competitor, Christian always looks for ways to lift up those around him, making a positive impact both on and off the field. His current situation has been deeply felt by his teammates and the entire community. We are all broken by the agony of this predicament that Christian and his family have been faced with. My heart breaks for him and his family and I hate to see him like this.. as his coach I love him like a son and the least I can do is try to help in anyway I can. Christian's family is now facing mounting medical bills and lost income as they take time off work to support him through this difficult period. With multiple overnight hospital stays and a series of tests, the financial strain is growing. By coming together, we can help ease the burden on Christian's family and show them how much their son and family means to all of us. Anybody that has met the Lewis family knows that they are the embodiment of love, faith, and positive energy that the world needs more of.
