My name is Patience. My baby brother, Christian Krauch, was bound, stabbed, burned and tortured for 3 weeks while incarcerated back in June 2024. He was found stuffed under his bunk & then life-flighted in a body bag to Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta where the Lord brought him back. He was admitted into their ICU burn unit where he spent weeks in a Coma. He had several brain bleeds which have caused brain damage and memory loss. His ribs were broken and his lungs & heart were pierced when they ran a machete through his chest. His teeth were broken and knocked out when his jaw was crushed. His ribs, front & back were broken so badly that they had to be plated. He was beaten so badly that all of the bones in his face were crushed and he lost blood supply to his right hand and right leg. They ended up having to amputate them both (yes, he WAS right-handed). They had burned a spot the size of a saucer in his left thigh & it was already necrotic when he arrived at the hospital.

I am dead serious when I tell you that there wasn’t a spot on him, literally from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet that wasn’t black & blue, cut, broken or burned. They even burned his toes with cigarettes & slashed the bottom of his feet with what looked like a serrated hunting knife. He was on life support, had a tube in his chest & was on dialysis when I got there. It was the worst thing that I have ever seen. No one expected him to even make it through the night, let alone live to tell the story. But God….

Now, he was just FINALLY released from the prison hospital on February 5th, 2025. He has absolutely NO money, NO insurance, NO where to live and is unable to work due to all of the trauma that his body went through, as well as PTSD. He is staying with me temporarily, but my apartment is just WAY too small for his wheelchair to successfully maneuver through, plus I have nowhere for him to sleep. It’s a 2 bedroom & 1 bath apartment & my 3 GROWN special needs children still live with me, too. I have already taken him to apply for his disability, Medicaid & food stamps; however, they are ALL behind & backed up for months. They have no “emergency or urgent” help anymore either. My church small group has been wonderful in providing us with leftover food, as well as resources that provide food so he is good in that respect for now.

He is in constant pain, has severe nerve damage and can’t even sleep due to it & the PTSD. We had to rush him to the ER last week because he was in SO much pain. They did some tests & scans & told him that the lining of his stomach had become unattached and his intestines were coming apart. They said that he needed to see a surgeon immediately. The doctor even CALLED & talked to that surgeon personally and HE agreed to see him with no insurance and NO money upfront. Well, I called his office to schedule him to be seen. His secretary informs me that he doesn’t have an appointment until the 24th & that he has to have $200 BEFORE he can see the doctor. I explained what all had happened at the ER & she told me that she didn’t care what he had been told, it wasn’t correct and he had to have the cash money upfront. We just do NOT have it & I am struggling to just pay the basic bills at this point in time.

My brother said that his insides feel like they are falling out. He needs to see a doctor about getting a prosthetic leg, a pain management doctor, a neurologist, a psychiatrist, a therapist, an optometrist, an ophthalmologist, an orthopedic surgeon (to fix his shoulder that the prison left unattached & his remaining broken ribs), as well as THIS surgeon. He could just REALLY use some monetary help until he can get back on his feet (no pun intended). Please, please, PLEASE give, if you are able to or if the Lord leads you to. We are believing that God is going to provide everything that he needs. He IS Jehovah-jireh, our Provider! Thank you to anyone & everyone that is able to help him. God bless you all!

My brother’s story is finally getting out there to the public. I’ve read MANY horrible comments about how he got what he deserved. I finally couldn’t take it anymore so this is my response to those comments:

My brother is an ADDICT.... that's it! Every single charge that he has EVER had related to his drug use. I'm NOT going to sit here and sugarcoat it. Yes, he is a criminal. Yes, he went to prison SEVERAL times. He was NOT a pedophile or sex offender in ANYWAY!

We grew up in a STRICT Christian home. We lost BOTH of our parents and several siblings. Most of our family is deceased, terminal or in bad health right now. We lost our parents when he was just 17 & 18 years old. He started using drugs more & more until he found the one that OWNS him now.....meth!

Meth has become a serious epidemic and you may be sitting next to someone addicted right now! It takes over their lives & they will do absolutely ANYTHING to get that next fix. God has delivered MANY people that I know personally from this monster! Unfortunately, my brother isn't one of them YET.

When he was released on February 5th, 2025, I was the one who picked him up. I am the ONLY person who has forgiven him over & over & over again. He has hurt every single person in his life, including his ex-wife, baby mama & daughters. I am the one who holds the heartbreak for ALL of them. His mind has been chemically altered SO badly that he just doesn't have ANY remorse whatsoever. This is NOT the baby brother that I grew up with though. Those of you who actually KNEW him, BEFORE meth consumed his mind, KNOW that he used to be a better person!

I stopped reading the atrocious comments because I just can't take it anymore! I love my brother and I ALWAYS will no matter what he does. I am the one here at ground zero on my knees PRAYING for God to rescue him from ALL of this! You people need to remember Matthew 7:1-5 before you start throwing such horrible judgement against my brother. There's not ONE single person on this entire planet who is perfect & blemish free! God the Father will be the one providing judgement & delivering JUST vengeance to everyone here on this Earth, including my brother.

The torture that these people did is absolutely uncalled for, no matter what!! No one deserves this kind of punishment! My brother's torture reminds me of the cruelty that Jesus suffered so that you & I could have eternal life! This tragedy should be used to remind people of just THAT!!

My brother received SUCH severe head trauma that he is permanently brain damaged. He is NOT the person that ANY of us knew. He really did TRY his best to stay clean this time but the amount of damage that he suffered at the hands of the GDOC was just too great for him to bear! He fell back into drugs once again. This time using them to "mask" his excruciating pain and suffering for only moments. Even that powerful MONSTER known as Meth couldn't do it!

His addiction has caused him to be incarcerated yet again. He is sitting behind bars at Stephens County Jail as we speak. Sadly, being tortured even more. One of the "officials" there is still holding a grudge against him & is intentionally making his life miserable. He even took my brother's bed away and is making him sleep on the concrete floor. He has to drag himself with one hand and one leg across that disgusting floor to get to the toilet. My brother needs people to see him as a human being, NOT a rug that they can just keep trampling on!

There are many things in his story that haven't even been mentioned. For example, one of the "administrators" at Macon State is who personally delivered my brother to his torturers. She KNEW what was going on the entire time! Christian is lying on that concrete floor EVERY single night reliving his torture in his nightmares. Being incarcerated again is bringing memories back that he had buried. He is LITERALLY terrified because of details that he is remembering.

I've said all of this to get to this point. The GDOC needs to be held responsible for what happened!! Even IF my brother HAD been a rapist, murderer, child molester, etc., he wouldn't have deserved THIS! Every inmate deserves to be treated like a human being! The people incarcerated are someone's sibling, child, parent, nephew, cousin, etc. What if it was happening to YOUR family member?!?!? PLEASE share his story so we can put this type of action to a halt!

He still needs help! He needs money for an attorney to fight this system from sending him BACK to the prison where he will surely draw his last breath! Yes, he got into trouble again, but this time it is THEIR fault! If he hadn’t been SO severely tortured, I really believe that he would have made it this time! Instead, he was thrown out onto the streets, alone, brain damaged, haunted, terrified, physically broken and financially destitute! They should have at least been responsible enough to help him get back on his feet first!!
