On the morning of November 19th, 2025, my eldest son, Christian Garcia, was the victim of a devastating hit and run while riding his bicycle. He was struck by multiple vehicles and suffered traumatic, life-changing injuries, including bilateral acetabular (pelvis) fractures, a traumatic dislocation of the sacroiliac joint, non-displaced fractures in his leg, ankle and his spine, a kidney contusion, and severe road rash across his head and body. Christian is currently in a wheelchair, fully restricted to non-weight bearing, and will need extensive inpatient rehabilitation in a few months after he stabilizes to relearn how to walk. He was released from the hospital into my care on Thanksgiving Day, and our family is now facing a long and challenging road to recovery.
Any funds raised will help with Christian's ongoing medical care, rehabilitation, and obtaining a vehicle to transport him to his many appointments. We also need support for food, clothing, and other essential supplies, as well as medical equipment that will aid in his recovery. Christian has lost everything and will not be able to work for the foreseeable future. As his mother and only parent, I have become his full-time caretaker, while also caring for his special needs sister, which means I am unable to work outside the home. The responsibility is overwhelming, but I am determined to do everything I can for my children.
First off, I would like to say thank you to God that my son has survived this tragedy. I would also like to say thank you to anyone who happens to see this and feels it in their heart to donate. May we also find justice for Christian and that those responsible are held accountable for their actions. Your support, prayers, and kindness mean more to us than words can express. Thank you for helping us on this journey toward healing and hope.
