Hello friends and family,

For the last decade I’ve battled chronic health issues (mold illness, co infections, multiple automimmune diseases, long covid, and a recent traumatic brain injury) that have severely impacted my quality of life. I’ve come close to breaking through but each time I’m met with discouraging and debilitating setbacks. Despite countless treatments, I’ve struggled to find healing…until I discovered something truly remarkable.

In the last several years I’ve had the chance to visit Maui a handful of times. Each time my body immediately begins to miraculously heal. The therapeutic combination of sunshine, saltwater, grounding on the beach, and the palpable, relaxing spirit of Hawaii seem to calm my nervous system and activate my body’s innate healing ability. Spending time on Maui has been so rejuvenating that I start to feel like myself again, the version God created me to be that’s been in the distant past for too long. It’s not just a vacation destination, it’s been my healing oasis, a silver bullet, the only thing that has consistently given me much needed relief.

The problem is I haven’t been able to stay. Each time I return home my health declines until I’m back at square one feeling depleted and hopeless. I’ve tried nearly every therapy you could imagine within several branches of medicine, (all of which I’ll detail at the bottom if you’re curious) and nothing has moved the needle quite like the natural environment of Maui.

Two years ago I applied to work on a Maui farm but soon after the fires hit and that farm was burned. I took that as a sign from above that it wasn’t meant to be…at least not yet. This year has been unbearable and it’s brought me to my knees in agony and despair begging God to have mercy on my soul. Every day I’ve suffered through severe neuro-inflammation due to a head injury I sustained in an unfortunate cliff jumping accident that has had devastating consequences. During my most recent visit to Maui, I was 100% free from brain inflammation which gave me a level of relief that revived my spirit and filled me with hope. But returning home this time has been harder than ever as those flare ups have returned. My family and I are so desperate for a breakthrough. I’ve reached a point where it feels like I’ve exhausted all options and I have to listen to the proven solution that’s been calling to me for years.

Desperate times calls for desperate measures so I’m giving an extended stay on the Hawaiian islands another shot. But due to the critical nature and urgency of the situation I’m heading south (likely arizona) in the meantime to chase a warmer climate that’s more compatible with my body. My hope is to formulate a more logistically sound plan and find some relief until I can get back to Maui. I haven't been able to work for two years so I’m unable to afford this endeavor. That’s why I’m graciously asking for your help. I’m hoping to raise enough money to cover food, campsites, airfare, etc. to help make these transitions possible. My ultimate goal is to find work or a farm to WOOF (farm work in exchange for food and lodging) on to extend my stay on Maui, alleviate symptoms, and give my body a real chance to heal and thrive.
