Hello, my name is Christiana Porter. I am a recent survivor of domestic violence and now a victim/survivor of police brutality. Which has made national headlines. I was in the process of healing from the domestic violence abuse situation, by starting my life over, and getting back to a place of peace, before this traumatic incident occurred on July 29th, 2024.

In a quick instance, I was brutalized by police for simply crossing within a pedestrian crosswalk in San Francisco. The officer had no regard for my well-being nor mental stability, as I screamed in fear for my life, and was falsely arrested on the scene with no probable cause. I screamed, “I am a Domestic Violence Survivor, please stop, what are you doing ?” The officer showed no remorse as he slammed me against the wall, and as a result, I now have a right separated shoulder with, mild traumatic brain injury, (concussion), and nerve damage in my hips and lower back.

I am also a single mother of five, and a Licensed Esthetician, which consists of waxing & facials. Since my right arm is injured, I am not able to fully return to work, which is why I truly need the financial help for monthly bills, and maintaining my housing, as I navigate the healing process of fully recovering from these bodily injuries and restoring my mental stability. Anything, I mean, anything helps, and I am grateful for whatever is donated to revitalize the lives of my children and I.
