Support Christian Triplett's Medical Journey

Most of you may know that Christian Triplett had a pretty scary health scare that took a lot of time and tests to figure out what was going on.

Christian has something called HANDL Syndrome. He was having neurological episodes in which he was losing sight in his right eye, numbness in his right arm and leg, and then would lose the ability to speak. These episodes were happening once a week at random times with no explanation. They would come and go with severe headaches and migraines. The first time this happened was on the road to Montana for work. On the way, he was 45 minutes away from Wolf Point, MT, and started to have his neurological symptoms. It started with his vision and moved to his face, arm and leg, then he eventually couldn't speak while driving. Alyssa called and Christian couldn't form two words; she immediately called 911. The first thought was stroke or heart attack based on symptoms alone. He then eventually pulled over, and the emergency teams were there to help. He had an overnight stay in the hospital where they ran tests and found nothing severe. A week later, another episode happened, this time worse. They went to the ER, and he was hospitalized for four days. MRIs, CT scans, a brain angiogram, and a spinal tap—all the testing for serious diseases came back negative, thankfully, but they still had no idea what was happening to him. His spinal fluid did have abnormalities and showed lymphocytes. Through a process of elimination, they came up with HANDL syndrome, which is very rare. Christian is on a med to help with the neurological issues and has since felt more himself! With time, hopefully, these symptoms stay away and HANDL will eventually never happen again. We are so grateful Christian has found what these scary neurological symptoms were brought on by, but this left them with a lot of medical debt of over $15,000. Christian is still having to take medications and go see neuro specialists at the Mayo and University of Minnesota later this year.

This is the season of giving and what better way to give a very deserving family, with contributions to help with their medical bills. Anything is helpful and so appreciated more than you know. This was an extremely scary and traumatic experience for their family as well as friends, and we would do anything to help them as they would help anyone else in need! We know times are tough and holidays are around the corner, but truly anything helps. Thank you all!
