Support Christian Caldwell and friends DNC Journey

My name is Christian Caldwell, and I am your 2024 Congressional District 6 Democratic National Convention delegate. I am seeking your support and help in sending me to Chicago in August for the 2024 Democratic National Convention.

My unique journey, from being the first in my family to graduate with a bachelor's and master's degree to being a first-generation Black Coloradan, has shaped my understanding of our community's issues. I am proud and humbled by these experiences and eager to bring this perspective to the table. I have been a long-time member of the Arapahoe Democrats since I turned eighteen in 2009.

I had the pleasure of serving as a legislative aid to the Colorado Black Democratic Caucus in 2014, which helped build long-lasting relationships with many of our elected officials and community leaders throughout the state. I have always valued education, even in adversity, appreciating that the result was worth the hard work. Growing up with a single mother who worked two jobs and always encouraged her children to go to college so that we could better our life circumstances.

This has led me to life-long work as a nonprofit leader in youth advocacy, leading the Obama My Brother's Keeper State level community and My Brother's and Sister's Keeper Colorado. With this position, I have been able to advocate for numerous families throughout our state around expulsion cases and special education needs; my goal is always to make sure that our children have every opportunity to become innovative and effective change agents like I did over the last decade or two in Colorado. I had long experience working in education at CSU-Pueblo, MSU Denver, and Overland High School for nearly 15 years. Working to develop and empower our youth has always been at the center of my heart and truly shaped my life to be a servant to our community. As an uncle of six nephews, one niece, and two goddaughters, I want to ensure these kids have every opportunity afforded to them as possible, with whom I enjoy spending much of my time.

As a Democratic National Convention delegate, I am committed to fighting against cyber-attacks and the miscarriages of justice that plague our country today. My current role in IT, coupled with my experience as a community leader, equips me for this task. I am dedicated to challenging the divisive rhetoric that has shaped our country over the last five years and to seeking truth in the face of misinformation. I promise to advocate for people of color and all of Colorado, ensuring that our voices are heard and our rights protected.

I aim to ensure that we succeed at the national level and that our interests are well-represented. I am committed to electing Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as our presidential nominees because I firmly believe these two individuals can bring about the change our nation needs. I am confident they will uphold the values that define America today and create opportunities for success for all, including minorities and majorities in our country.
