Support Christian and Leo: A Life-Saving Bond

My name is Christian and I am raising funds for my service dogs training fees.

Leo has been with me through some really dark and scary times. He stayed by my side through chemotherapy, multiple blood transfusions, 2 surgeries and being bedridden for almost a year.

I got Leo for my PTSD but he showed so much interest in alerting me when my blood sugar went all whacky so he became my diabetic alert dog even though he provides all the comforts/alerts needed for my PTSD.

Most people see just a dog but to me he is my lifeline, he is my hero.

Shortly after Leo and I were paired together, Leo kept rubbing and pawing at my left knee with the look of urgency and agitation in his eyes. I decided to have my knee checked and they found a malignant giant cell tumor in my distal femur bone. They told me this specific type of tumor is extremely rare (only 100 cases) and all they know is it’s known to spread to the organs (specifically the lungs) and we caught it before it spread. Leo saved my life!

During my treatments, surgeries, and being bedridden, I got behind on payments towards his amazing training and I’m asking for help from amazing people like you with the final $2,279 as I am struggling. 

 Cancer has stolen so much from me, my left knee, half of my left femur bone, a good portion of my memory long and short term (from chemotherapy), a portion of my hearing (also from chemotherapy) and my income. Leo doesn’t just alert me to my medical conditions but he alerts me of sounds that I can’t hear and potential dangers too! I could go on for hours about all the wonderful services he provides. 

True service dogs do not get the recognition they deserve! They are companions, best friends and in a crisis, they are our lifeline!
