Christi Nixon, my sister-in-law, was just diagnosed with breast cancer. Our family is still processing this heartbreaking news, and we are doing everything we can to support her as she prepares for chemotherapy and surgery. Christi is single and works hard cleaning houses for a living. She has always been someone who shows up for others through honest work, kindness, and determination. Now she is facing one of the hardest moments of her life, and the fear of not being able to work during treatment is adding even more stress to an already overwhelming situation.
