Christen is a dear friend who has always put others before herself, never hesitating to lend a hand when someone is in need. Recently, Christen has faced an unimaginable series of hardships. First, she was involved in a car accident that left her unable to work for two weeks. Just as she was beginning to recover, Christen was attacked while making DoorDash deliveries, resulting in a serious injury that required brain surgery. Now, she faces a long road to recovery and will be out of work for an extended period.

The financial strain from medical bills and everyday living expenses is overwhelming, especially since Christen is unable to earn an income right now. She is someone who never asks for help, always choosing to support others before herself. That’s why I, Whitney, am reaching out on her behalf. I know how hard it will be for Christen to catch up after being out of work for so long, and I want to make sure she has the support she needs to focus on healing without the added stress of financial worries.

Update: Christen will have a lumbar drain put in for the next few days because she still has brain fluid draining from her ear.

Update 2: christen now has to have surgery tomorrow where her cheek is fractured.

update #3: she has surgery tomorrow but will possibly have surgery Monday to put a stunt in-another brain surgery because they went from 5cc to 10cc of brain fluid coming out with it still draining into her ear.

update #4: lumbar stays in until Thursday to get fluid away from the ear as much as possible to scar over the hole where the drainage is coming from. Once clamped and no drainage comes out of her ear then she gets to come home. If there is drainage then there are two options for surgery. One is a shunt and the other is taking sac like material from around her ear near her brain to put on the hole and it will act as a a seal. Option 2 will have more side effects such as she doesn’t have any hair and hearing with take longer to come back. Option 1 is what the doctor is leaning more towards but the shunt will be forever so they do not expose her to another surgery of the brain. They will only take it out if there is complications.

update 5: she got a low grade fever and they are worried about infection. We will know more tomorrow about the clamping of her lumbar. They want to monitor it for 24 hours.

update 6: christen will not have a shunt nor the brain surgery as of right now. They need her face to heal and she will have reconstructive surgery after it heals. They are hoping her ear heals and she can start to heal on it but if she doesn’t they will do something after reconstructive surgery. She will be out of work for a while because the surgery will not take place for 6 weeks or more.

update: Christen had another surgery she had an infection from one of her surgeries and they went in a cleaner it and put a drain

update 8/28/26: christen has a long road ahead of her. She will have two more surgeries in the upcoming months. One to take care of her ear as can’t hear out of it and another where they have to go back in a fix her cheek.
