Many of us in the Republic area know Case and Christa, who are both local business owners. Those of us who are in orbit around Black Lab Coffee know that Christa was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer and continues to face the challenges of medical treatments. As small business owners, this presents its own unique challenges.

We, as a community, are asking for everyone to donate what they can to provide some assistance to our dear friends during this difficult time.

Black Lab Coffee is one of the very few coffee shops in the area that regularly has live music performances by local artists. In a time where canned music is the norm, Case and Christa celebrate the talent and creativity of the local community.

Several of us in the local music community would like to offer our talents by performing a benefit at the American Legion Post 639, located at 2660 S Scenic (Springfield, MO 65807) on Friday, February 28th, 2025, from 6-10 pm.

The event is free, and we invite everyone to come, enjoy the music, and make a donation to help Case and Christa during this difficult time in their lives.
