Support Christa in stacking the deck against cancer!
Donation protected
Christa (Goodman) Hubbard was diagnosed with Stage 3 rectal cancer at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota October 8, 2024. She will be undergoing extensive treatment at Mayo Clinic over the next several months including chemoradiation beginning on October 24th, 2024. Following chemoradiation, Christa will receive 4 months of chemotherapy (3 different chemo drugs at once) followed by possible surgery. Her husband, Ryan Hubbard, and 15 year old daughter, Tessa, will be in Canton, New York where Christa and her family had been residing up until her recent diagnosis. To stack the deck in her fight against cancer, Christa will have multiple prolonged stays in Rochester, Minnesota away from her Ryan and Tessa. It would be great to show Christa and her family some positivity and love on this healing journey by supporting her care at Mayo Clinic and for her to have the comfort of friends and family traveling to be with Tessa in Canton during her fight! Your donation and prayers are the most critical way you can help and show support!
Colorectal cancer in young people is on the rise, affecting people like Christa who is 44 years old. As part of an effort to support Christa and her family, it is important to recognize the significance of early detection via colonoscopy. If you have a family history of polyps or other risk factors of colorectal cancer, please get a colonoscopy. The recommended age for colonoscopy screening previously had been 50 but recently has been lowered to 45. Christa encourages all individuals that are 45 to schedule their colonoscopy today!
Christa's care at Mayo Clinic will be top notch and with our support through this process for this amazing and maximally positive human we can help her odds to come out on top. Please support our dear friend and sister in her fight against cancer.
