Chrissy Collins is one of the best Promotions Assistants I’ve ever hired in my entire radio career. Her dedication, integrity, and work ethic stood out from day one. She didn’t just do her job, she made a lasting impact on everyone around her with her thoughtfulness, reliability, and sassy strength.
On March 17, 2025, Chrissy received devastating news: she was diagnosed with stage 4 bile duct cancer, which has already spread to her bones and left ovary. Stage 4 bile duct cancer (also called cholangiocarcinoma) is unfortunately one of the most aggressive and difficult-to-treat cancers. That same day, her diagnosis, was also her last official day of work. Since then, her life has been consumed by pain, treatment, and hospital stays.
Chrissy began chemotherapy on April 7, but the challenges have been relentless. She has already endured two emergency ambulance trips. The first was for an extreme abdominal blockage that required a painful nasogastric (NG) tube placed through her nose and throat for two days. On May 2, she was rushed to the hospital again and diagnosed with a gallbladder infection. She is now living with an external bile drainage bag and uncertain next steps.
Despite being in severe pain and on strong medications, Chrissy continues to worry most about how she’ll care for her 16-year-old son, who depends on her completely. She’s always been someone who puts others first, who shows up, no matter what, and now she needs us to show up for her.
This fundraiser will help Chrissy and her teenage son with:
• Mounting medical bills and treatment expenses
• Rent, food, and household essentials
• Transportation to and from her medical appointments
• Basic needs for her son as they navigate this unimaginable situation
Chrissy has never complained. Not once. Even in the hardest moments, she’s continued to think about everyone else. Now, it’s our turn to think of her.
Please donate if you can, any amount will make a difference. If you can’t give financially, please share this with your network and help us spread the word.
With heartfelt thanks,
