My partner, Chris, experienced a massive stroke on May 3, 2024. Since then, I have been at his bedside at Mission Hospital to advocate for him and ensure he gets the care he needs. It has been a nightmare and an emotional rollercoaster. I completely put the rest of my life on hold to make Chris's care my priority.

As a result, I have been unable to work which has placed me in severe financial distress. I was unable to pay the majority of my bills for May and June and won't be able to pay them for July.

Chris's stroke has altered our lives in so many ways and I don't regret taking the time I have to be with him and take care of him. However, I did not have vacation time to fall back on so had to do this without pay. I am hoping to raise some funds to help catch up on the bills I wasn't able to pay until I go back to work next month. This has been a very humbling and stressful time in our lives.

I will be returning to work in mid-July but without assistance I won't be able to catch my finances up after this major setback.
