Support Chris on His Road to Recovery After Tragic Incident

On Saturday, June 15th around 9:30 pm, Chris was riding his motorcycle down the i17 to meet up with friends like he often does. However, this time he didn’t make it to his destination and ended up in the hospital instead. He was the victim of an unprovoked and completely unexpected act of violence.

He recalls cruising along in the left lane when he came up on a car going slower than he was. The driver put on his blinker and changed lanes to let him pass. As Chris slowly proceeded to pass the vehicle and heard a sudden, loud, bang! Not knowing what happened at first, he glanced down and saw blood spraying from his arm. He had been shot, at close range, through his upper arm. Luckily, he was able to keep his bike upright, and cruise to a stop in the shoulder. He put down his kick stand, got off his bike, took off his helmet, and sat down against the barrier before passing out from the massive blood loss. He woke up to EMTs reviving him and transported him to the hospital.

At the hospital he had multiple surgeries to repair extensive nerve damage and to reconnect a main artery.

Chris is a man that is always willing to help others. Even in times like these, he is always in good spirits.

Needless to say, he’s incapable of working for the time being and needs help with medical bills, rent, utility bills, and other daily expenses as they pile up.
