Stand with Chris Through His Fight for Life

Chris has always been the kind of friend who shows up for others, no matter what. Now, he’s facing the toughest challenge of his life. 2025 was already heartbreaking — he lost his beloved mother, and soon after, his job. With that job went his health insurance, leaving him vulnerable just as his health began to spiral.

On November 14, Katharine rushed Chris to the hospital for what seemed like a foot infection. Within hours, doctors discovered it was a deadly gas infection. Emergency surgery was performed that evening, but the infection was worse than they feared.

Just days later, on November 17, Chris underwent another surgery to amputate all five toes — the only way to remove the remaining infection and dead tissue. This option meant a longer healing process, but it spared his leg. Even then, his body struggled: he required three blood transfusions, and doctors discovered his kidneys were failing. After eight long days in the hospital, Chris was released on November 22, but the challenges were far from over.

On November 24, Chris was rushed back to the ER after collapsing from dizziness. Then, on November 30, Katharine found him incoherent and unable to speak — his blood sugar had dropped dangerously low. Within hours, he was rushed back to the hospital again, this time with a body temperature of 91 degrees. Tests revealed dangerously low red blood counts, requiring two more transfusions. He was admitted to intermediate ICU, where doctors confirmed his kidneys were failing. On December 3, Chris began dialysis — a grueling treatment he will need three times a week, four hours each session, for the foreseeable future.

Through all of this, Chris has shown incredible courage. But the physical, emotional, and financial toll is overwhelming. Losing his mother, his job, and his health insurance in the same year has made an already devastating medical crisis even harder to bear.

This is where we can step in. Chris has given so much to others over the years — now he needs us. Your donation will help cover critical medical expenses, ease his financial burden, and allow him to focus on healing.

✨ Every gift matters. Whether it’s $10, $50, or $100, your support will make a real difference for Chris. Together, we can show him the same kindness he’s always shown to others.

Thank you for being there for someone who has always been there for his friends and family. Please donate today and help Chris continue his fight with hope and dignity.
