In April of this year, Chris had finally scheduled his hip surgery. At the time of scheduling this, after putting it off for several years, he was informed after surgery that his Short Term Disability was denied due to preexisting conditions.
Shortly after his surgery, Chris & his wife were hit by the two tornadoes that came through Dickson. Thanking God for their home not being completely destroyed, they did have some damage. His wife at that time used all her vacation to clean the disaster they were hit with. Insurance did pay a portion, thank God. Which helped repair what had to be replaced and a few other things. It helped pay their bills for a few months along with his wife's pay. Since Chris's hip surgery, after putting it off for several years, he also put other doctor appointments on hold, he couldn't get off work and didn't have time. So during his time healing from his surgery he then went to these appointments that he had put on hold for so long.
Turns out, Chris is very sick and had to be off longer than expected. So, due to FMLA being able to only hold his job for so long, they had to terminate his employment. He has lost all his insurance as well. He has several doctor appointments, testing, injections, meds and procedures that need to be done still. The family hates asking for anything, but right now they are in need of help desperately. The family will update as they find out the results.
Anything at all would be greatly appreciated to help them during this hard time.
