My name is Chris, and I’m reaching out because I’m facing a medical emergency that has turned my world upside down. Over the past weekend, I started having chest pains that I thought were just heartburn. I tried to push through and go to work on Monday, but on the way there, my heart felt like it was trying to jump out of my chest. I ended up having my boss take me to urgent care, and from there, I was sent straight to the ER. After a series of tests—including a cath, a CAT scan, an ultrasound, and an EKG—the doctors discovered I was born with a rare heart condition that requires surgery as soon as possible. My life is at risk, and the urgency of the situation has been overwhelming.

The recovery from surgery will take 6-12 weeks, during which I won’t be able to work. Unfortunately, I don’t have short-term disability benefits, so covering medical bills and basic living expenses will be a real challenge. I’m doing my best to stay positive and trust that God will see me through this difficult time.
