WE NEED $8,300 . THAT $3,500 Is just a goal GoFundMe puts on there. For those of you who don't know, my brother Chris passed away June 27, 2025. He has life insurance. But we're being told the policy might not pay out because it's under 2 years old. The way this works with the funeral home is they work through a 3rd party lender. In other words this lender fronts the money to the funeral home to cover our services. And they would just get reimbursed from the life insurance company. It can take weeks or months before a life insurance company will pay out. That is why the funeral home uses a third-party lender. However if the third party lender does not have confirmation that the life insurance company will pay out that lender will not cover the cost of the services. So arrangements have been made. We just cannot pick a date for the service or finalize these arrangements until we have cash in hand or confirmation from the life insurance company. So the funeral home has all the information they need from us now. They will send that information off to the third party lender who will contact the life insurance company and see if they will pay out or not. That can take about 72 business hours. We now have tomorrow being July 4th, a holiday, non-business day, then we have the weekend. So I won't have information until probably the middle of next week if this is going to go through or not. And if it does go through we would be looking at toward the end of next week for services for him. It has already been a week since he passed away. If it doesn't go through I would just be starting a GoFundMe for him, Which would be prolonging the services. We cannot wait that long and keep prolonging laying my brother to rest. So what I'm trying to do now is go ahead and try to raise any and all funds that we can to cover his service. And if the life insurance company does decide they will pay out whoever made donations will get refunded. I promise you that. I just don't want to wait until the last minute to try and get these funds for him. It's a shame that he has his policy and we may not be able to utilize it. Our family appreciates any and all contributions made for Chris. And I thank you in advance.
