If you've ever met Chris, you already know—he's the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought. His no-filter personality and you-only-live-once mentality are contagious and makes everyone love Chris for who he is! At 46 years old, Chris has spent his life pouring into others. From your hometown bartender to traveling abroad to help open restaurants, to building a community around his restaurant, Chris' Place, to being the friend who always shows up no matter what—you could always count on him. He didn't just know people… he brought them together.
Today, Chris is facing the hardest fight of his life. Tumors have spread throughout his spinal chord, and despite surgeries and treatments, they continue to come back. He was diagnosed with Grade 3 Ependymomas MYCN Amplification in October . It is an extremely rare disease that causes tumors to grow inside the spinal column. The first surgery in November was not successful. The tumor has grown back faster and more aggressive and has spread down his spine. He has to have surgery again. Surgery is scheduled for July 6th. The road ahead is incredibly difficult, and there is a very real possibility that he may not regain the life he once had. To make things even harder, Chris is unable to work and has been denied disability, leaving him without the support he needs during this devastating time.
Now, the man who has always been there for everyone else needs us. We are raising funds to help cover medical treatments, ongoing care, basic living expenses, and support during what will likely be a long and painful recovery. Chris is a God-loving man with unwavering faith, and even in this battle, he continues to show strength and grace. If you can help in any way—whether it's donating, sharing, or praying—it would mean more than words can express. Let's come together for Chris, the way he has always shown up for all of us.
