My boyfriend, Chris, recently suffered a accident that resulted in a ruptured Achilles tendon. This type of injury requires major surgery, followed by extensive recovery and rehabilitation. Unfortunately, Chris does not currently have health insurance, which means the full cost of surgery, medical care, and recovery will be paid out of pocket.

In addition to the medical expenses, Chris will be unable to work for an extended period of time while he heals. This loss of income, combined with the cost of surgery and recovery, has created a significant financial burden.
