Five years ago, my husband Chris fought testicular cancer and won. Last month, at his final 5-year checkup — the one we thought would be his all-clear — we found out it had come back. We were devastated. The cancer has spread to his lymph nodes, and a recurrence this late is rare. It caught us completely off guard. Chris now faces an intense chemotherapy regimen over the next three months, and we are doing everything we can to get him through it. We don't have health insurance, which means every bill lands directly on us. We're looking at the cost of chemo, surgery, medications, and regular travel to his treatment appointments — all while I step back from work to care for Chris and our 4-year-old at home. The lost income on top of medical expenses has made an already frightening situation feel overwhelming.
The money raised will go toward Chris's treatment costs, his medications, getting him to and from appointments, and keeping our family housed and fed while we get through the hardest stretch. Every dollar goes directly to keeping him healthy — and to allowing me to be there for my family when they need me most.
Chris beat this once. We know he can do it again — we just need a little help making it through these three months. If you can contribute anything at all, we are more grateful than words can say. And if you can't give right now, sharing this page means just as much. Thank you for standing with our family.
