If you’ve ever shared a laugh, a drink, a game, or a moment of kindness with Chris Shelton, now is the time to stand beside him.
Chris Shelton is the father of my niece, the life partner of my sister Samantha, and a longtime coworker and dear friend. For years, Chris has been a steady, caring presence in our family and throughout our community.
Chris is a proud Marine Veteran who served our country with honor. He’s spent countless years as a member and trustee at the Marlborough Eagles, helping organize and support numerous fundraisers for others. Many know him as a familiar face behind the bar at PJ’s Pub in Hudson, where he’s worked as a bartender for the past decade. Others know him as an avid golfer, the captain of his dart team, a player in the local pool league, or a member of the sports card trading community. However you met Chris, you likely remember his kindness, his quick humor, his willingness to lend a hand, or if you were lucky, one of his magic tricks.
Today, Chris is facing one of the hardest battles of his life. He was recently diagnosed with metastatic melanoma. This diagnosis has forced him out of work for weeks, with no clear timeline for when he’ll be able to return. The sudden loss of income, paired with overwhelming medical expenses, has placed an immense strain on Chris and his family.
Funds raised through this campaign will help cover emergency room visits, medications, and the many appointments that led to his diagnosis. Donations will also support his ongoing immunotherapy treatment at the Lahey Clinic, treatment that is giving Chris real hope. Beyond medical costs, your generosity will help Chris, his daughter Emberly Peach, and Samantha manage everyday living expenses while Samantha focuses on caring for them both during this incredibly difficult time.
Chris has spent much of his life giving back to others. Now, we’re asking our community to come together for him. Please keep Chris and his family in your thoughts and prayers. If you’re able, consider donating or sharing this fundraiser to help lift some of the burden and allow them to focus on healing, strength, and hope.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
