My mom, Chris Scanlon, went through having cancer with chemo and radiation back in 2020. It has come back here and there throughout her body and was treated with radiation. Now it’s come back to her left lung and 5, 8, 11, and 12 ribs. Her doctor is in Dallas because that’s where she was when she first got it. However, last Monday she went back for chemo and on her fourth day got Covid. She barely made it back to OKC and on her way back her car broke down on I-35. One of her pills she has to take (1 only every couple weeks) costs $52 per pill. Trying to keep up with the drugs not covered and food plus insulin for her diabetes, now the car is really weighing her down. Normally she is so full of life and loves theatre and I hate to see her under so much strain. I wish she could not worry about the small stuff and work on getting well.
