Support Chris Pool's Legal Defense Fund

In the early evening hours on October 31, 2022, our dear friend Chris experienced a terrible tragedy when a young autistic man stepped out in front of his vehicle forever changing both of their lives. After multuple surgeries, the young man sadly succomed to his injuries on November 2. This has left a heavy hole in Chris' heart and is something he now carries going forward, forever.

In addition to working through the long-term emotinal effects, there is unfortunately legal process to be handled. While he did stay and cooperate with law enforcement fully, he'll still need to demonstrate in court that this was not by any measure of reckles, neglectful, imparied or careless driving. Chris is pushing though and working as hard as he can, but needs our help to ensure that he can cover all the necessary legal fees. While he has already invested a large sum using his available savings, he realistically needs to be prepared for additional costs for his attorney and other experts as needed.

In the nearly 15 years we have been friends, Chris has been the friend who I know will be there for me without a doubt. If I am in need, even if he can't fill the need he will help me in any way he can. He has watched my son grow up, and everyone who knows him considers him famiy. He has a supportive network of loving friends and if we could each donate what we're able, we can help him get through this. Even just $5 from each friend on his socials would reach our goal and ensure he has the financials needed to cover his expenses.
